Meet the owner

Meagan has achieved great success in the dog grooming industry, having worked passionately in the field since 2006 when she launched her career at the age of just 17.

Her career started strong when she began working at DogFX alongside the original owners for four years where she was taught the art of grooming.

Meagan also worked in a national pet store working as a groomer and learning invaluable skills as and later becoming a manager at an early age. Soon enough Meagan was training other groomers, becoming salon and state manager during her 11 year tenure at the company.

After working for a major chain for so long, Meagan was searching for a change of pace and decided to join a more dedicated team of groomers at one of the largest independent salons in SA, DogFX. This gave Meagan an opportunity to hone her skills as an award winning stylist in a more flexible and supportive environment.

Through hard work and dedication, in 2021 Meagan became the proud new owner and operator of DogFX. She is thrilled to bring her passion for dog grooming with the motto “fur the love of grooming” created by Meagan to represent her passion for grooming, she believes the only way to do great work is to love what you do. 

Meagan has exceptional skills in handling specially nervous dogs with anxiety conditions in a professional and loving manner, making sure they go home safe and happy. She also specialises in and enjoys doing large double coats such as retrievers and collies, as well as breed specific clips such as for Schnauzers and West Highland Terriers.

No groom is too hard and Meagan loves being given a challenge!
